I had such a fantastic time at the KaiserCraft Q2 Product Launch in Melbourne last weekend. I was so excited just to be there, I have been a big fan of KaiserCraft for many years now (even before they branched off into scrapbooking) so to actually be at the factory outlet was way too cool for words. I think I was also voted the most excited person there (unofficially, by one of the Kaiser Staff). All of the staff were so friendly and it was really good to put faces to some of the people I regularly have phone conversations with. And to be one of the first to see all of the new products in real life was just amazing.
This is a sneak peek at the New Boy Range called Rewind
Kaiser have released three new Christmas Ranges - just beautiful, a teenage boy range, a travel range, and a girly purple range. I know so many of you love purple, however I’m not that into purple but this range blew my mind and I can’t wait to scrap using it. The travel range is also not limited to just travel pages, these papers would look great on masculine pages as well, they have a very old world look to them. Along with all of that they have also released seven new Beyond the Page Projects just for Christmas, including a very cool Christmas Countdown Calendar the kids will love - including the big kids!
How cool (and easy) are these, these baubles are made out of Styrofoam balls, painted with KaiserCraft Acrylic Paint and the KaiserCraft self adhesive Pearls in Christmas colours.
The one thing I am truly excited about is that KaiserCraft have brought out some 6 x 6″ paper pads, these are great for smaller albums and perfect for cardmaking, the best thing is you know that everything in that pad is going to work really well together.
One of the new Christmas Ranges - yes that is a star wreath on the right of the photo. As well as some of the baubles made with the KaiserCraft Rhinestones.
The New Q2 Magazine is amazing with lots of Christmas gift and Christmas decorating ideas, page samples, as well as everyday home decor ideas. Kaiser has excelled again with this publication, if you loved the last magazine, you are going to love this one as well, with so many ideas in one magazine it is well worth $5.99. I seem to find something new every time I pick it up!

All of the new products and the Q2 Magazine are due to arrive in store around the 23rd of September.

This is me at the Release Night with the New Q2 Magazine of my very own!
The best thing of all was that I got to share the Release night (and some of the weekend) with my very good friend, Sharyn, who started me on my scrapbooking journey. So for her I am truly grateful, love ya Shaz and thanks for putting me up for the night!
I’m so very excited to announce that KaiserCraft have just released their long awaited product - Ribbons! Stock is on it’s way and will be uploaded as soon as it gets here.
Here is a sneak peak of the new Ribbons
KaiserCraft are also publishing a new Magazine due to be released very soon - along with a stack of new papers and Beyond the Page Projects. I have been informed that the new Magazine has all of the usual step by step instructions that the Workshop Magazines had and lots, lots more (including free papers). It will be, I’m told, retailing for $5.99 and will be published every 3 months. I have not yet seen a copy of the Magazine but I’m on the edge of my seat waiting. We will be stocking the New Products as well as the Magazine as soon as the products are released.

I made this KaiserCraft Album for my friends 40th Birthday. I wanted something classic looking because for Val’s Birthday a group of 15 of us spent the day at Palazzo Versace and it turned out these were the colours used throughout the room we were in for her birthday. I love these colours and patterns together.
I planned this album exactly how I wanted it on paper first because I had a very detailed picture in my head of how I wanted it to look. Then when I came to gluing all of the pages onto the solid MDF parts of the Album I actually glued the page I wanted to show through behind the 40 part on the back of the page and not the front of it. Please note if you are doing this album there is a right and left side of the album, the holes don’t actually line up upside down. So instead of having a pretty background page I decided to just have a Bazzill background (I made it slightly smaller so you could still see some of the spotty paper) and that allowed me to have a whole other section of the Album to use for signatures and messages. So it turned out ok after all. I made all of the Bazzill page inserts the same size so the pages could be placed in the message section or the main album.
I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on the KaiserCraft Wooden Flourish then added some KaiserCraft Pearls. I also used Glimmer Mist on the KaiserCraft Chipboard letters, I painted the letters Antique White then placed the Flourish over the letters then sprayed. This coloured the Flourish and the letters at the same time. I just love Glimmer Mist, embellishmentsare so quick and easy withthis product. It is my favourite product right now and I can’t wait to play withit some more to see what other things I can achieve with it.
The flower on the 40 are layered, with the bottom flower being a flower cut out of KaiserCraft Fozz Felt, the middle one is a paper flower and the top is another smaller flower cut out of FozzFelt with a pearl on top. The flower beside Val’s name is a paper flower folded in half with a pearl attached.
I didn’t want to do too much with the back of the 40 so I painted it Antique White it then occurred to me that it was rather boring so I used a sea sponge and combined the Raw Umber and Antique White paints on the sponge and dabbed it on which made an interesting effect.
Here is another effect you can achieve with the Glimmer Mist. Here I just placed the KaiserCraft Wood Flourish onto a piece of Bazzill Cardstock and sprayed the Glimmer Mist. I actually did this while adding a little more colour to the Flourish from the Album, so both times I sprayed it I made 2 accents with one lot of spraying. Doing it at the same time saves the Glimmer Mist and saves time and it makes a great corner accent. Notice the larger spots on the paper this is achieved by holding the spray closer to the paper. If you just want a fine mist, hold it further away when spraying.
Enjoy,
Natasha
